Fairtrade Fortnight 2014: MAKE FOOD FAIR Party

Scrumptious home-made Fairtrade goodies were on offer in the caverns of Fair Trader on March the 8th as our volunteers did battle to see who could come up with the most delicious recipe containing the most Fairtrade ingredients.

A small selection of the wonderful FAIRTRADE food and drink that was on offer.

Was it Angie’s Cheese Kolaches , Mark’s prawn rice cakes, Shelagh’s chocolate buns or perhaps Sarah’s amazing pudding cooked and kept piping hot in one of our remarkable Wonderbags? In the end an honourable draw was declared but it gave us an excuse to try everything on offer accompanied by a warming cup of Grumpy Mule Fairtrade coffee.

As well as having a great afternoon and some lovely tasty treats, over £50 in donations were raised in aid of the Root to Fruit tree nursery in Malawi for whom we are fundraising this year.

A full list of recipes will be available from this blog soon including:

Chocolate Oaties
